About Me
I am an engineer who develops technologies and processes for extracting and integrating information from spatial, temporal and text data. One of the applications resulting from these researches is a web site for charting and picking stocks based on technical analysis and machine learning. Previously and for over 10 years I had worked as a geologist, a petroleum engineer, a statistician, a software developer and a systems administrator, all on the same job. I am also a stock investor, focusing on US-traded Chinese stocks.
I split my time in US, where I claim my residency, and China, as a witness to arguably one of the biggest social and economical development stories that have ever taken place in human history. Particularly I enjoy living in the city of Shenzhen(???, a young, vibrant and sometimes chaotic city in southern China. While I am not working, I enjoy random-walking
on the city's bustling streets, hiking in the NanShan Mountain and doing a lot of random reading (on politics, economy, business, technologies, sports or anything interesting!).
